She grew up in the mountains of east Tennessee\, went to school in middle Tennessee\, and after 25 years in Texas\, now lives in West Tennessee. \nShe has retired from her work as a nurse educator and international speaker. She now works from home for PepTalk Productions LLC as a writer and mentor encouraging others to write and share their stories. She says that leading the TMA Tennessee myositis support group online provides a way for her to give back and help others to discover how to live with the challenges a chronic illness presents.
