MyoCon 2026: TMA’s Global Myositis Patient Conference
Thank you for your interest in a scholarship to attend MyoCon. Thanks to generous donations from members of the myositis community, TMA will provide a limited number of scholarships for members in need. Please read through this entire page before applying.
Conference scholarships are available for TMA members only. If you are not a member, please join TMA before applying.
Scholarships include modest travel support and a free registration package for the applicant and one travel companion. The complimentary registration package includes:
- Conference registration
- Heroes in the Fight dinner ticket
- Excursion ticket

TMA offers several types of conference scholarships. Please be mindful of criteria as they differ for each type of scholarship.
- General Scholarship provides funding to support any TMA member to attend MyoCon 2026.
- Applicant must reside in the continental US
- Scholarships include a $250 travel stipend
- Approximately ten (10) general scholarships may be awarded
- Global Scholarship provides funding to support international TMA members to attend MyoCon 2026.
- Applicant must reside outside the continental US
- Scholarship includes a $500 USD travel stipend
- One (1) global scholarship may be awarded
- Newly Diagnosed Scholarship provides funding to support recently diagnosed TMA members to attend MyoCon 2026.
- Applicant must have received a diagnosis for a sub-type of myositis within the last 12 months
- Applicant may reside anywhere in the world
- Scholarship includes a $250 travel stipend for domestic recipient and $500 for international recipient
- One (1) Newly Diagnosed Scholarship may be awarded
- Support and Affinity Group Leaders Scholarships provide funding to support TMA Support and Affinity Group Leaders to attend MyoCon 2026.
- Applicant must be a current Support or Affinity Group leader
- Scholarship includes a $250 travel stipend
- Approximately five (5) Support and Affinity Group Leaders Scholarships may be awarded
Reminder: Scholarship aid is available to TMA members only. Please sign up to become a member before completing the application.
Priority for funding will be given to those who have not attended MyoCon in the past. In addition, consideration may be given to balancing awardees by disease type and geographical representation.
