Diet and Nutrition Challenges in Myositis: Entry Points to the FAST for DM Trial

This webinar will review different nutrients and diets and what is known about their effects on autoimmune diseases. Speakers Kristin Zambell, PhD, RD, Clinical Research Dietitian at National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Lisa Rider, MD, Pediatric Rheumatologist and Head of the Environmental Autoimmunity Group at National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, National Institutes of Health (NIH NIEHS) will also introduce a new clinical trial at the NIH, FAST for DM. This is a study focused on examining the effects of dietary interventions on dermatomyositis, including omega-3 fatty acids and a general healthy eating pattern diet.
