Virtual Myositis and Motherhood: What to Expect Across Pregnancy, Birth & Postpartum hosted by TMA Women of Color Affinity Group Growing your family during a myositis journey can bring a unique set of questions: How will my disease activity change during pregnancy? Is it safe to continue my medications? What does labor and delivery look like with limited muscle strength or mobility? How do I manage postpartum recovery and caregiving while navigating flares or fatigue? This session will address the realities of family planning, pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period for those with myositis. Topics will include preconception counseling, medication safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding, disease monitoring across trimesters, delivery considerations, and strategies for postpartum physical recovery and emotional wellbeing. Attendees will leave with practical guidance for working with their care team and a better understanding of what to expect at each stage of the motherhood journey while living with myositis. |

Virtual Conference Reunion & Staying Acquainted Want to keep the MyoCon momentum going or just want to connect with TMA staff, special guests and fellow attendees after our time together in Dallas? Please join this conference reunion that will help you stay connected with your new friends! This 30-minute session will be followed by an opportunity to connect with fellow conference attendees in diagnosis-specific breakout rooms. The breakout sessions will last 30 minutes and will be available for participants with IBM, DM, IMNM, ASyS, and PM, as well as for Care Partners. |
Session Recordings
Travel is difficult for many, and we want to share the MyoCon learnings as widely and inclusively as possible. That’s why we offer a package of recordings from most sessions on the conference agenda.
Conference recordings are complimentary for MyoCon attendees, no need to order. Both MyoCon attendees and those that order the recordings will get an invitation to all virtual pre- and post- conference content.
TMA’s 2026 MyoCon Recordings will be available in October 2026. You will receive an email with information on how to access them when they are ready. If you have any issues, please email us at myocon@myositis.org.

- Video recordings of the opening and closing keynote addresses
- Video recording of the Heroes in the Fight Awards Ceremony featuring our myositis heroes
